Really sorry Soaring, forgot to answer your question!
i ordered an extra sheet of the same laminate when i ordered the van!
its not difficult to get at all!
As it turned out they forgot to supply it when the van arrived and it still only took a week to get in!
about $40 per sheet approx and worth it i think for the look!
Bargain!
Another thing to add to my list....
Thanks!

Nice mods. Must of been a lot of number crunching for the drawbar. Tool box, double gas bottles and WDH.
You must be pleased with the finished product!

Nice job HTR, very neat! I was trying to see how you have attached the cradle for gas bottles, I can't see any welds.....nice.

Thanks guys,
still not complete yet!
i am still procrastinating burnsy weather or not to drill through the cradle into the drawbar!!!!!!
Was going to make up a u bolt type fitting but its all a bit tight! so stewing over that one this week
obviously the ply will be replaced with something plastic like choping board or similar.
whats the general consensus on drilling into draw bar????

Yeah, I agree with CD, drilling holes would be last resort! I'm sure you'll come up with something after your top effort so far. Can't see underneath but I'd be looking at some sort of clamping arrangement. Let us know how you go.

cheers.

After a very productive weekend, i finally ticked off some of the ongoing mods underway
our big trip has been put on hold unfortunately as my wife has been quite ill.
Hopefully we may just have to put it back about a month or so!
Anyhow that takes the pressure off and we are now heading off to our usual Easter trip up to Bright!
good chance to try everything out and see if it all works.
Thanks to all those who"s great work inspired me to do all this and i really love the way that everyone helps each other out with queries etc.
Heaps of these ideas were from you guys so thanks very much to those who shared!
Pete.

Great mods HTR, first off, I hope the wife's OK and is on the mend!
Now the mods, love the IPad/book/remote storage next to the bed. Is the timber laminate from Jayco, looks a perfect match like its factory fitted. That's just been added to my list!
Thanks for sharing!
