Hi all,
Just gone away for a 3 nighter, our fridge was working fine at home before we left but now doesn't seem to be working on 240v so now on gas. Mains is on and the power point that the fridge is plugged into is switched on, is there a fuse or breaker for the fridge? Any suggestions? :noidea:

Hi burnsy,
have you checked for power at the point? If you don't have a multimeter plug in an appliance like a hair dryer and see if you have power to the point?

Can you test the powerpoint with something else. If its a plug n play point it might have come loose.

Yeh mate I'm out too, there maybe a C/B in the fridge but that would be a bit unusual. Couldn't find much info on the net either. On occasions after driving ours would take 4-5 hours to kick in on power but that was also on gas. It seems better now. Looks like one for Jayco.

sorry

Dont know if this helps
If you have access to a mutimeter & the back of the fridge
To do this turn all switchs to "off"
Remove 240v plug from power point
Measure resistance with multi set to ohms by putting probes directly across the element terminals
Should read about 70ohms for 240v heater & 0 . 83ohms for 12v heater
The manual should verify this but there is a THERMO CONTROL ON 12V , but not directly. it controls a relay to take the load of the thermo contacts
If the elements check OK ,the thermostat is very likely to be the problem as it is the only common control

we had a problem but it was the fridge lead got knocked and dislodged the plug in transport easily fixed changed what was stored in that cupboard

There are no fuses in the fridge for 240v or 12v
