Has anyone got a slide out? Weight, cost, pros cons etc would be appreciated

Hello there Panda owners. Newly joined here.

We are starting to think seriously about the purchase now, and are hiring a 17.56 for next year just to make sure we like the lifestyle of the Expanda.

So, compiling a list of must have's and could have's. We are trending towards an 18.57 Outback at the mo, with some nice bits as we work it all out.

One thing I don't know much about is the slide=out option. Not sure if we need it, as the van seems to be fairly easy to get around inside, but would like to know whether they are worth it from someone who has one.

Thoughts appreciated!

ETA: Two nomads, no kids or pets.

Hello Ozwitch,
We haVe the electric slide out and love it, keep in mind we are a family of four and love the extra room, especially if it's a rainy day.
For just two people, I think you could easily do without it.
Ours is very user friendly and we have no regrets about the decision

Thanks Kingy. I'm just eyeing the budget and thinking we could probably leave it out. I guess extra solar and battery power is going to be more useful for us. As you say the floor space is pretty good anyway.
