Goolwa is the little brother to Victor Harbour, but closer to the mouth of the Murray and the Coorong National Park. Plenty of sanding beaches and fresh water swimming, and of course boating if you tow that behind your van.

A Top Tourist park located a few km out of town, this one is quite large and had 8 blocks of 20 or so sites to each, plus around another 3000m2+ of non-powered camping area. The park itself is moderately treed for the van sites but not the non-powered ones. (big winds on one day resulted in a number of damaged tents and gazebo structured) Roads are gravelled and blew up a bit of dust when it got gusty.

There are plenty of birds, a pool, mini-golf, small shop and book exchange. The toilets and showers were large and clean, but only one clothes line. There is also an inlet from the waterways with boat mooring, but I wasn't sure if that was for anyone to use.

Pet friendly.

4/5 (but too big for our liking personally)
