so how many of those fellas did you run over while they were carrying a mirror last year ???????????????????????

Actually if you run out to Meandarra quickly you could double up as my fishing rod holder as I hunt the mighty Yellow Belly or at least the large turtles which i seem to attract.......................

The GOR is on top of my bucket list but it is low on my planning list at the moment. Any trips will be within Qld for the foreseeable future so it will probably be at least 12 months before considering heading too far south.

It appears like pollies etc will be playing the blame game now to take some of the heat off themselves for a while. We can only wait and see.

Oh and hot news the coroner with police is looking into the 80 odd deaths in aged care charges may be layed against who not sure but once the coroner starts saying chages should be layed id be very worried if i was involved eg in charge of keeping people safe ause nothing was done
Incompetence at the very highest levels have caused this carnage, and some poor cleaner working 15 hour shifts for $8.35 an hour will be thrown under the bus. Must be wonderful to have no clue, no skills, no conscience, no responsibility, no decency but a superannuation on steroids

For years now Aust has been going down the same path as America.People being ripped off by companies wage wise, too many people on casual ,no representation for the low paid workers the list goes on.Even the sane unions get beaten with a big stick.Just before somebody gets stuck into me I not supporting the thugs who run certain unions.! Just fair days pay for all.I had a business that employed people and treated them like family. This country is now in one big socialist experiment ,how we get out of the mess to make a more equatable Australia will be interesting.

Well after five weeks ,We have crisscrossed up into nth Qld and coming back down the coast, now had three days at Cape Palmerston Some observations
Huge record numbers of Qlders on the road ,motor homes, new large rigs everywhere in very busy caravan parks.Lots of young people caravaning ,camper trailering with school age kids. Many elderly people in new rigs and motorhomes.Very obvious many have no idea of reversing ,setting up ,overloading etc.etc.Many rigs doing 75-80 kph with no consideration for people wanting to pass or do a reasonable speed .Do not know what happens next year if Vics on the road as well .Dogs now reign supreme in many van parks.Cape P ,many had two,why do owners let them p....s and poo right in front of your site or on lawns next to slabs.Even the mild mannered better half got towy.

Thanks for the update @BJM . There are indeed a lot of people on the road at the moment - cannot go too far out of the state - and if you did, getting back in is a real problem. Getting harder and harder to get into the old favourite spots.
A lot of newbies would be on a steep learning curve, but it is sad that a lot seem to have forgotten about courtesy to others on the road. It does not take much to slow down at the appropriate place and wave past all those waiting behind you. Or even pull off for a few minutes and let the traffic past.
I love dogs, but they have their place and that is not polluting the areas around camping spots. I thought they had to be under control all the time, so it is the owners lack of thought that allows this to happen.

We have just crossed over to NT a week and a half ago, top of Qld we thought was very quiet, roads were very quiet, lots of Dogs I agree are at parks, all the ones we have seen don’t Yap all night.
NT the roads are quiet, the park was full last weekend but over half empty now I’m assuming it’s getting hotter and due to Covid. Not all tours are available until next year.
We as a young family are loving how quiet the roads and parks are due to Covid. It was very easy to get into the NT from qld and easy to get back if we wanted.
From what I’m hearing people can still access WA but need to fill out a fair bit of paper work and quarantine in a caravan park for 14 days.
Hopefully the roads are just as quiet heading slowly back down through SA to Vic.
Enjoy and safe travels to all.

As said much busier than last year and this is without the Vics ! Mate knows the Bargara cp
owner ,making more money without the Vics , saidVs always asking for discounts ,moan about everything and try and run the place !Will probably go inland again after Bargara have a few friends in Bundy to visit .Then do a bit of fossicking around Inverell etc.missed the boys going to Chudlow Park ,they got quite a few peridot and sapphires. Now they up at Agate creek getting the beautiful agates.
Only around 10 years ago you could roll up to cp and pick your own spot ! !Even the few freedom camps we stopped at on the way up we’re busy.Going to be a bit of a big rethink for next year ! May have to go up the old Grafton GlenInnes road camp by the river and go mad !

I sold my house and I booked into Bargara caravan park from 7th October till 27 th December as they are booked after that the reception can’t believe how busy the park is I’m lucky to find a site. I’m going to build at Bargara but just read Elliot Heads is about to have a huge development as well so there goes the serenity lol
