16' Series Gibb River Road

Good afternoon,

My wife and I along with our two children (5yrs & 3yrs) will be travelling for 6 months around Australia in our recently purchased 2013 Jayco Expanda Outback - 16 49 3. At this stage we are including the Gibb River Road in our journey, we aim to do this part of the trip in mid August. I have a 2010 Holden Colorado 4x4 dual cab. Just wondering if anyone has done the Gibb River Road at that time of year with the Outback Expanda, would you recommend it or avoid it?

Any insight would be much appreciated.

G'day and welcome to the forum @RichardPlummer. Have a look at @BUSH PALACE report of the GRR. I know it is not the same time as you want to go but it may give you some ideas

Yep.....did it back in 2010 around that same time. Highly recommend it.
Quite a few others have done it too without issue. @BUSH PALACE is one, Drive to the conditions and air down your tyres accordingly and you'll be fine.

I even took mine all the way up the Kalumburu road too!!!!
