Fitting Fiamma Bike Rack to A Frame

Has anyone fitted a Fiamma Carrybike Caravan XL A Pro to the A frame of an Outback with the spare tyre beneath and the jerry can holder. The problem is the tyre sticks out above the top of the A Frame.

This is the rack.

This is the front of my van.

Spoke to my Jayco dealer and reckoned they had not fitted one before.
I'll work out a way to fit it but if someone else has will steal their ideas.

Judging from the feedback here (que eagle squawk) it can't be done.
However I have a solution. Stay tuned.

I had one on my 2004 expanda and had to pack it higher with some hardwood timber so I could use my wdh, you could possibly do the same. I put it on my new van but it sat further forward and damaged the back of the ute so I got rid of it.

Have this fitted to our expanda, I got some gal square tube, u bolts and threaded rod from bunnings. Had to bend the gas bottle brackets to move them back due to wdh but no problem for your setup. Hope this helps.

I abandoned the idea of mounting the Fiamma rack to the A frame and instead came up with this using fork mounts. Still have to put some angle line on to stop the rear wheels from moving. So far cost me $50 for the mounts and $15 for the ubolts.

At least now I can access the spare tyre easily, and when the bikes are off access to the front boot only downside is taking off the front wheels.

Mate great work, another option to get around taking the wheels off might be one of the older style grip sport crank cradles http://soul-riders.com/main/node/83 Grip use to sell just the crank cradle so you could bolt or weld it where every you want. from what I have read they worked well but alas it appears they no longer sell them but they are an engineering company so guess they could still make them on request.
