extra water tank placement

hi all we have a 2010 16.49 expanda with just the standard 1 tank.we would like to add another tank and where just wandering if we could put it behind the axle, as this seems to be the only spot with enough room between the steel supports .i know we could add another steel but would rather not.any comments on position would be appreciated cheers

Ours is the Outback with 2 tanks and yes thats where the second tank is I'll crawl under there and take a photo for you later today

Our 2012 16491 has two tanks from Factory - One in front on axle one behind

Hi Guys,

We bought our 16.49.1 with only one water tank and put the extra one in behind the axle. We just had to be careful as the gas lines ran through that area also and we just had to make sure they were protected and should we ever have a problem with the gas, we will have to drop the water tank down to get to it.
