Well the Flood Alarm went off today, as the tide started to lap at my feet, the flush button on Dunny had jammed, quick race outside water turned off then because of a mod done many years ago it was only a matter of open the door to access the fuse for the solenoid .......... perfect end to a really crappy week, mopped up the water, cupboards, toilet box, back of fridge all mopped out, doors, hatches and windows open, so looking like we got away without damage, sort the problem out when we get home but the Brides look at me got me thinking so after a cup of coffee, I dismantled the switch panel, fixed the mongrel thing and we now have a flushing toilet that won't do it again as I found the problem .................. And after a really sh*tty week, an absolute mungrel really my MoJo is back ............................................. on mains water thats why never knew till my toes were wet.............................. switch panel cover label sticky bit possibly had shrunk a bit so not allowing the push switch to return to off position ...............

After a incident where the solenoid jammed open , I fitted a isolating valve in the supply water line under the floor.
On a side note , if your toilet is a Thetford, the solenoid valves are the same as a Fischer Paycal 12v washing machine solenoid and are about $25 on ebay instead of the $80 that thetford want. When replacing it I also moved it from under the bowl and mounted it just inside the door. Why they designed it so you had to dismantle the whole bowl assembly to swap valves is a mystery.
