HI Guy's. Our new (to us) van has a draw where 1 side of the faceplate (for want of better description) has pulled out of the side. The little plastic dowels have popped out and it's obvious they have been repaired at least twice before, so the holes for the lugs are looking decidedly 2nd hand. I've cleaned out some silicone and some glue of some description out of the hole which was stopping the dowels from sitting flush.

Any idea what I could use to permanently fix them in place? Liquid nails? I just wonder if glues may become too brittle over time. Maybe silicone was the right option but badly applied???

I had the same problem and used liquid nails on mine.
Has held up fine, even on the rough roads ;)
Just don’t get it in the screw holes otherwise you may never get it back together.

Cheers guys. I've ended up using a selley's 3 in 1 adhesive, sealant and filler. I liked the fact it stays slightly flexible. I've still got it clamped and I'll leave for a few more days to give it the best chance of curing and lasting.
