Hey @Bmhdg76 as @Bellbirdweb said they get warm but not hot. If you go back to the first page of this post you can see photos where I put mine which is also a 14.44-4.
I left a small gap maybe 80mm between the unit and the drawer. You can see this size of this gap in the vent pic as the vent is inline with the rest of the unit. This leaves a good amount of room left in the storage area. I have two plastic boxes with bits and pieces in it. The boxes sit pretty close to the unit itself and after running for around 10hours overnight I checked to see if the boxes were getting too hot and if I would need to move them away. They were barely warm so have no issue with them being within 40mm of the heater.
It heated the 14 pretty easy as you would expect, a real test will be in August when we camp in the snow for a few nights but I'm sure if the get one you will not regret it! Fuel tank for me is just a 20ltr Jerry can on the back bumper but there are lots of options to choose re fuel tank.
