Hi, off to Denny (Pioneer Tourist Park - Top Tourist Park) for Easter.

Never been there before - has anyone else? Tips?

Cheers

Call into Picnic Point on he way.....turn right in Mathoura and its about 10km out....start of the Narrows, go past Tarragon Lodge and into the bush to hit the river.....well worth the detour.....on the way to Picnic Point there is a bird observatory overlooking the wetlands

If its the one on the rhs of the bridge heading toward Conargo we stayed there a many sleeps ago in our old soft floor, actually we have stayed there a couple of times when passing through. We stayed in the unpowered area closer to the river.

It was a while ago though and it wasn't bad back then and close to town.

Well, we have been and we would go again.

Smaller than the others in town and not near the river. Not far to go to get to the river though. Nice grassy drive through sites, clean facilities and friendly manager.

Allowed fires (obviously not in fire ban) in park supplied fire pit / braziers. Access to fire wood no problem and able to take pets. Must be on leads and this was discretely enforced by manager.

Very Nice!

Went went in Sept this year...
Under new management/ownership. Friendly enough and as BoD says, grassy drivethru sites.
But amenties woefull -
- only two very dated and low pressure showers and toilets to each M&F
- one of those showers facing the main camping area with open window at head height to both M&F
- the Female toilet backed up and a brown tidal wave across the floor. Owners already knew and were not in rush to fix it - happy to wait the plumber could get round to it some time. Even though they knew, and the park was only 1/4 full, they refused to open any of the ensuite rooms so the ladies could have a clean place to shower, or at least clean shoes.

Did you have to describe it that well? Brings back not so fond memories of the toilets in Mcphillamy Park, Bathurst in 1969/70 and not just a few roadside rest areas and fuel stop toilets since then.
