Hi all :israel:
Thought I would share my latest attempt at keeping the bed ends dry in wet weather.
I had velcro sewn around the shade cloth privacy screens and cut to size plastic sheeting (0.2mm thick).
They had a good test last week at Fingal head with strong wind and rain.
They performed very well and, although I was little concerned that the weight would be too strong for the studs holding the screens, only a couple gave way on a couple of occasions.

Regards
Geoff

Great work Geoff, that's a clever & quite probably very cost effective solution to an issue that seems to bother me every time I get the caravan out. :thumb:

I concur. Very nice Geoff. It is good to be able to let light into the van during the day. One thing I noticed when "upgrading" from an Eagle to an Expanda was that I missed the 360 degree views and light in the Eagle. Geoff, what did you do to attach the plastic right in the corner at the top and sides where the canvas joins the van. I would want to attach it along the top a bit to prevent leaks from the lid down the sides. Also how thick is that plastic - does it flap in the wind?

Looks good Geoff,

We went for one of the Canvas setups from "Holiday Annexes".

A bloody professional setup from the Boys.

They look great Cuey. I think they are about $1,000 a pair aren't they?

Yer, about that. We only needed the one as we only have the one expanda bed end with our 18.57-6 Van.

Im over in perth so the Guys sent everything over and it was a simple fit.

The canvas is only 4 oz so its not too heavy for the gas struts.
We were going to go down the path as Geoff did but when my wife saw this she wanted it so I was happy with that.
She feels the cold so wanted a bit more protection.
