I spent the day yesterday removing the rear step and hayman reese towbar and replacing it with a ARB rearstep bar. I like the way it protects the rear quarter panels and doesn`t hang down like a plough. The only problem i have now is i will have to get a new dropshank for my wdh as i was already using the lowest holes for it and this sits 100mm higher.

yeah Brad good idea might go the slim plate having a little trouble with the reverse camera mounting so that could help. Any idea on how much vicroads rip you off er i mean charge?
When I bought my Jeep from interstate I booked it in with Vicroads for rego.
The standard plate fee was $30 but if I wanted some slimline ones it was going to be $90!!
To transfer my personalised ones cost me $105 IIRC, so they are a bit more..

Always liked those ARB rear bars, had one on my Hilux many many many moons ago
No 3 tonne as well. Put the Hayman Reese wdh in the reciever yesterday and it won`t go all the way in for the pin to line up. It misses out by about 10mm, i wont cut any off this one because i have to buy longer drop shank to get the van level because the reciever height is nearly 100mm higher and i was using the bottom holes already.
