on the idiot box news and facebook ,police in the central Queensland highlands , take Emerald as the centre of that map, are having a weight blitz, vans and tugs reports say MOST of the rigs weighed were over weight or poorly loaded, not surprising when you see wheelie mansions getting towed by suvs both have junk hanging off them anywhere you can fit it

Was sent a Faceache link this morning about checks at Rolleston, doing awareness checks, no fines it seems .... Comments show how many stupid people there are and I doubt many really grasp the rules of weights anyway and probably never will............ Ive used my portable scales to see what my set up is, do it about 3 or 4 times and if they are all under spec then I reckon I must be okay, certainly don't take it as gospel , mind you the first time I did it I had a clean out and moved stuff so the figures looked a bit better .......... Now with the Ranger its a lot easier as the Jeep may have been a great tug but hell they are easy to pop the scales ....
Wonder if they will ever set up shop around here as we have some hairy, scary set ups running down the road...
