Caravan Insurance - Options

I understand there are a number of Caravan Insurance providers.
However can someone advise if their is a provider that offers a reduced premium when the caravan is not being used and locked behind a gate at your home address?

This type of cover is offered by Club Marine. Club Marine offer a cover called 'Lay Up'. With the Lay Up option one can select the months your not intending to use the boat and pay a much reduced premium. If you wish to use the boat during a Lay Up month... it is a simple as calling the insurance company and paying the difference for the month. Beats paying top premium when not using the boat.

Would be great if the same type of cover existed for caravans....

I know what your talking about with the boat, but I havn't heard of anything like that for a van.. It would be good though.

My father only pays insurance for the months he is using the van. Not sure what covers the van when not being used though....
