I have had my canopy (an Aeroklas) listed on Gumtree for a couple of months, hoping to sell it and replace it with another slightly taller and with bigger windows. I was getting ready to pull the ad as we are off in around 5-6 weeks and I was thinking there would not be enough time to get a new one.

However, late Monday I got a phone call, was it still available? He made an offer that was more than previous offers (not as much as I wanted) but if he wanted it he could have it. He arrived 7:30 Tuesday morning, coming from Gatton. I had undone the clamps so we just lifted it my truck and sat it on his and clamped it down. He handed over cash and drove off.

I got on the phone to Flexiglass and ordered the TradeX model on the proviso that it is delivered by 3rd of June. They found one in Sydney in my specs and even has a pressure vent fitted which I did not order so not being charged for. The truck can't be used as my drawers can be accessed with no canopy so it will have a rest in the garage.

With the Aeroklass and without.

I took my 120kg canopy off for our trip due to our ongoing weight battles. With the black steel replacement rims, BFGs, suspension lift (byproduct of HD suspension not youthful exuberance),roll bar and roof tray it looked kinda cool ..... since coming back Id resisted the necessity to put the canopy back on but site tools rollng around in the open tub aint such a good idea.

Sadly the canopy is back on, the Nav oozes mojo anyway, but that little glint in its eye has gone and we're back to looking like a silver ambulance. Already taken half the flesh off my head on the flipped up rear window, damn it. The Navs biting me back
