We added this safety gate before our big trip for our little one and it worked out great as our two older boys got the bunks. I fixed the gate with screws into the walls and works a treat. Had to use short screws on the shower side just incase I ended up with the threads going through the shower wall. Also moved the bunk ladder forward by a foot to allow the gate to swing.
