Has anyone else with a 2015 had the jayco ones fitted?
Was told at handover that they still havent worked out fitting of these yet and enquiries recently back to caravanland still saying no progress.
I am starting to think just give me the bloody things and I will work out fitting myself
Anyone got any thoughts or am I just being unreasonable?

Catch up, how did I miss this ????????............oh probably fishing................................

We just have the shade cloth screens and they have gone thru big arse storms, hail and all, no water ingress and heaps easier than another canvas tent..............

But time is the factor!

Also the clips and studs and all that stuff which are essential to make them work.

Did you use a machine or by hand to do the pockets for the bungy cord? Looks like a great job but not sure my wife would let me near her sewing machine
I used my mums Janome. My mum wasnt too amused either. Its actually quite light work for a domestic machine

I just finished the new one for the new van. With the lack of basic mathematics from the Bunnings girl, including some uv stable hd thread and shock cord ... the whole thing cost $15

goodness me if you had more time could nearly make them yourself out of thick shade cloth but would need to sow edges

Yeah for sure, but time is very short at the moment. So many other jobs to do on it before we go away and 2 bubs under 2 years old consuming our time. I like to do everything i can myself but this is not gonna happen.

Hi @MartyJB and welcome to the forum. I made my privacy screens for the 16.49 (sold), and have just made the 20.63 one yesterday. I made it from the same blue 70/80% Cooloroo Bunnings shade mesh which was still perfect after 5 years on the last van. It was a little hit miss with measurements ... bit of a work in motion. I made small stainless steel plates and hooks and urethaned them to the van, 4 on the van, 5 on the lid ... the plates stayed attached for the 5 years also. The top and bottom edge of the fly has shock cord inserted into a pocket along the edge and with s/s keyrings on the exposed ends of the shock cord, hooks onto the s/s hooks urethaned to the van. The fly stays attached and folds up under the lid draped over shock cord strung between the gas strut mount plates

Comes with matching sun shades as well.

Agree with Drover...but hate to say it.

I saw that !!!!!!!!!!

When the Droverlets were micro size we used to put them in a harness and tie them with a halter lead to the bull bar so we could get things done in camp, dog would run free though...............probably get the Do Gooders screaming blue murder now.............they are pushing 40 now, successful and not feral.
