Ballina Lakeside holiday park is located adjacent to Shaws Bay. The park has a large number of permanent residents, and cabins. There are unpowered sites, powered sites (some with ensuites), and a very small number of powered sites located in the back corner of the park which were pet friendly. However a refundable bond of $100 for pets had to be paid. And dogs could not be walked through the park. Fortunately, there was a reserve on the edge of the park where you could walk out to the breakwall. The amenities were dated and required a key. We only stayed one night but for us, it is not a park we'd return to.
