Well back again after a bit of time not posting. After alot of posting last November our computer had enough and blew up about 25th november. With Christmas costs and putting a deposit on a new 17.56-2 we were not in a position to get a new computer until about mid January - hence no expanda downunder viewing or commenting. We got the new computer about the time we headed off to Cape Conran for 2 weeks then back the day before school started and have been busy with beginning of school year stuff, cleaning out our Jayco Hawk and getting it ready for sale etc. It drove away with its new owners last Friday night - it was a bit sad to see it go, the kids were in tears - however the new 17.56-2 Outback arrives in mid March so hopefully the kids will transfer their emotions to the excitment of something new.
We have ordered 17.56-2 outback with the following options
We also took out the microwave and have the factory putting in a cupboard instead
Things we are to organise when we get the van:
We ended up by going with our local Albury dealership who after a bit of argy bargy we got a really good price out of. We were also really impressed with Griffith and what they were offering. Page Bros in Melbourne were also good but Albury ended up by being the best price in the end.
The wait for it has not been so bad - after the initial shock of not having a computer its positive point was that I could not keep looking to see what everyone was doing and hence not be jealous - also we knew we could not sell the Hawk until after our 2 week holiday end of January - but now that it has sold the next two tothree weeks of waiting for the van to arrive will be harder
Will keep you posted
