I have seen an Aluminium one that mounts to the van and simply opens as you roll out the awning and vice versa that does stay on during travel, my awning is getting mouldy from being stored, they get wet inside even when rolled as they sweat. having the cover on while store has helped a bit.

wonder if one of those would help.

Like wise, I also read somewhere a 50/50 mix of bleach and water on the underside will help with mould, also once it's dry a light coating of Armoual all over, yet to try it myself.

Just be very very careful with bleach guys, it certainly removes mould but it also dissolves/softens the stiching too. That's what we found with our first expanda.

white spirit vinegar should be adequate. 4 parts to 1 part water from memory, spray on a let sit for a while then hose off.
Definitely no to chlorine based bleaches.

possibly pure eucalyptus oils also, but not sure. (I know thats good for getting sap off tho)
