Arkaroola Resort and Wilderness Sanctuary is a located at the northen end of the Flindes Ranges and the terrain is different than the southern end of the Flinders. To get to this area you need to keep an eye on the road conditions as they can change very quicky with little warning and could close.
Your vehicle and Jayco needs to be well prepared to travel these roads due to there nature as it is an unsealed remote area part of Australia's outback. Fuel is available at Arkaroola but maybe check 1st before heading out there to make sure it is available (no lpg) if needed.
There is powered and non powered camping along with plenty of natual attractions to see within the Sanctuary. A 4wd isn't needed to visit everything (tours available) but is requiered to visit alot of the sites and places of interest. Some tracks do incur a fee which helps with maintenance of the Sanctuary. There is bushwalks a and ruins to visit too. We stayed for 3 nights and could have stayed longer. There is shop with supplies and a resturant onsite too. Make sure your water tanks are full for drinking etc as the water on site is a harsh bore water.
