I would like to get rid of the tray totally because the first time I have taken it off road it bottoms out and hits.

Hi Marv-Mart, I also have a 14.44.5 and the location of the spare is a real pain - not to mention having to remove at least one gas bottle to get to it - and the extra absolutely un-necessary ball weight. The whole van would be better set up with the spare at the rear. Could you send me a photo of how you fitted your spare to the rear please?

You can also see how I converted my old tyre rack to a basket to hold my Annexe and had my son construct a rack above that to hold two spare Jerry cans for emergency Diesel.
Had to use one today as our trip from Katherine to Darwin via Jabiru was about 10 litres (80km) short.
