14' Series 14.44-5 OB New Price

Hi all

Brand new member to the forum. We went to the dealer today in WA (the only Jayco dealer in WA). Looking to buy a new 14.44-5 OB. They essentially weren't willing to negotiate price. Was quoted 44,819RRP standard and they said at a push they might be able to drop 1k off this. Im a little surprised at this. Was wondering if this is the same attitude at dealers elsewhere or if it is a product of having the WA monopoly.

Also if anyone has any experience of freighting costs to WA from the Eastern states it would be much appreciated.

We also dealt with the same dealer and managed to get a good deal on ours but it was ordered by them for floor stock (Not ordered by us).
We managed to get the minimum asking price for trade in (But ended up selling it private for $3K more), a respectable discount on the van and a couple of free extra's.

Can't help with freighting one from east but a few others have ordered from over there and driven the van back themselves as they said it was cheaper.

Out of interest who were you dealing with at the local dealer?

Bought ours at the 4wd and adventure show for a " Show special" the caravan n camping show is in March maybe hold off until then and see if there is a price difference would be interested to know if there is

We used saw someone had posted prices on vans on here and used it as leverage when ordering our new van. We ordered it here and picked it up from the factory.

Saw one at Brisbane Caravanworld yesterday, think it was $45k down to $42k.............very noice.
