both by the looks of that. Problem is that if one empties first, then it will suck air and won't work properly.

Looking at your Pic it shows both the 'handles'on the valves are in line with the water tube. ie the water is coming from both tanks. When the handle is down then that tank is off.

Not a problem. I got sick of getting under the van to switch the tanks over, so re-routed the water pipes into the bottom cupboard where the water heater and pump are. My van is a 16.49.3 and the area is in front of the wheel arch. Here is a pic of the re-reouted water.

Also used to have the pump sometimes not turn off. When I did the re-routing of the water, I discovered that the water hand pump was allowing air to be sucked in, so put a one way valve into its supply pipe and all is now great.

Never a stupid question... How do you think we learnt? Someone probably told us so ask away!

One thing to note and you will learn yourself over time is that the van will possibly handle differently depending on which tank you use first. By this is mean I have found that I will always use the back tank first to take the weight off the rear of the van. I found when I didn't, the van became a little more unsettled as it made the towball weight a little lighter. By using the rear first and leaving the front it keeps the weight between the wheels and ball better and just seems to sit better. If I only have one full (for say just a weekend trip) I will only fill the front tank and leave the back empty.

As said no (stupid/dumb questions)

My tanks have a single tap with an arrow, point arrow to front it's front and back for back , down is both up is off, looking at yours I'd say both are ON it that position. turn one down and run the pump you'll see the water flow, while pump is running just flick the taps you'll soon figure out what does what.
