Ta mate i called into jayco and said preety much the same. Anyway will just rely on gas 4 the week! To b honest im a little apprehensive re gas but ive never relied soley on gas b4!
Don't worry about gas, I use mine more on gas than power. I think it works better on gas. I always run them on gas at least on the start of a stay, I might switch it over to 240 if I'm in a park. They run on the smell of an oily rag on gas and it does have a safety device so nothing to worry about.

1) re the issues with my fridge ive had it on 240v for 2 days and still nothing!!! I've just lit it on gas and the indicator is suggesting the pilot is on!! So i guess I got to wait over night but not liking my chances!!! Could the compressor be stuffed?? I'm not a fridgy so I have NFI!!!
2) I'm also chasing ideas on how u guys go with your pet dogs in pet friendly parks. Our pup is young (7 month old Lab) and full of beans, so we need to keep her on a tight leash so to speak. Do u guys put ur dogs in 'play pen' type structures or cage them??
Any ideas greatly appreciated
. We have 2 x biggish dogs and have a plastic covered metal cable/dog run (think it was from Cheap as Chips), which we've shortened it to a user/caravan friendly length. Peg the ends securely into the ground and put a shortish light weight chain on it to attach the dog collars to. We only ever use it when we are right there with the dogs. It gives the dogs a bit of freedom to move around, find a spot in or out of the shade as they please and they don't feel secured to one point.Mrs W
Yes, that young 'chew anything' stage is very interesting, I remember having our 20 metre hose turned into about 7 useless multi length pieces and the plastic wind-up handle on the clothes line being turned into a chew toy . That's why we always use covered/coated chain and not fabric or leather for tethering, just another yummy, chewy thingy to chomp through! Thank goodness they grow out of it (well most of them do )

Yep we have a fully collaspable crate approx 1m x 1m x 1m high with custom made canvas cover to provide shelter/shade,fits neatly on 4 of those interlocking rubber mats, keeps our Border Collie contained and safe and stray kids safe from her and us not worring about where she got tangled or not. she as used it from day one as a pup at home so is use to it, just place a vinly dog mattress in there plus water bowl. usually place it under rear bed for added shelter or just under the awning depending on space, though she does not sleep in it at night.

That will work, see plenty of those set up at camp/parks, some use them to fence the front entrance of their annex so their pooch has free range in/out
Made it to Normanville SA yesterday good little set up. Tinkered with the dog cage!! I went for an open door policy so it gave her 'some' freedom yet still tethered to stop her from chewing the can !! 
And after a morning walk and being let of the leash on the beach she needed a rest!!

Well we've returned home from our trip to The Beachside Cvan park at Normanville SA.
Well the weather went from low 30s to low 40s and almost unbearable! But its another story to tell in the years to come.
No issues with the van at all. My previous issues with the fridge we non existent as i ran it on gas. @maccayak i was VERY surprised on how little gas the fridge used and imho it def works better than 240v.
Anyway i hope those of u stuck in the heat r keeping cool (as rAdelaidians r expecting mid to high 40s).

1) how much u pay??
2) is it indoors or out
