I sold my house and I booked into Bargara caravan park from 7th October till 27 th December as they are booked after that the reception can’t believe how busy the park is I’m lucky to find a site. I’m going to build at Bargara but just read Elliot Heads is about to have a huge development as well so there goes the serenity lol

Good .... Elliiot Heads is on my list of places to live. Just needed a Bunnings, Westfield, and Costco to move it up the list.

Bundies Bunnings needs to be bigger, Stockland isn't too bad a shopping centre, town has a great FWD shop, 2 Aldi's and Dan Murphys is pretty good ......
Elliot Heads has one little cafe and a small shop, nice Bowlo and in winter is usually full of Victorians.............the land is over priced and the colorbond jungle of 600sqm blocks is creeping towards it and soon the magic of the place will be gone........................ just another place full of people escaping the city yet turning it into the rat race they tried to escape from.

There are 3 Aldis. Kepnock , Bargara , and the one near the bundaberg cementery. Also Costco is overpriced for fruit and verges and full of American sweet and sugary over sized products.
Elliot Heads doesn’t have sewerage and under ground power like Coral Cove we like our 1/2 acre block and hopefully with 4 years will be there. Last time we were there couldn’t believe how much the place had changed lots of development for retirees on 800 m2 blocks near golf courses etc to cater for the ex victorians. I don’t know if the land has been officially approved at Elliot Heads as it was put to council last year but initially rejected in 2013 when they tried. The problem is the Gold and Sunshine Coast is full and people want a beachside town with services so then Bundaberg next town up the coast

Bundaberg actually has 4 Aldi stores and Hinkler shopping centre is way better than stocklands just saying

I forgot the Aldi in the middle of town, I hate the parking at Hinkler and I was told Bargara is NOT Bundy, thank you very much by some local yokel...........sort of like saying Bumrum Heads is part of Herpies bay...... I do like the Cane Train ride in the Botantic Gardens, best thing about the place.................

Thought I would support local cafe at Emu Park .$7.50 bacon eggs toast. Vgood value.Went out to Mount Morgan ,waste of time.Used to be able to see mine lake etc.No more. Worst pie ever eaten at the bakery ,yellow pastry ,yellow potatoe top,little meat ,took me back to the 60s.

Well apparently in the news Cooktown swamped.One cpk stated it had up to 30 rigs aday lined up outside waiting for a spare spot! A lot of Vics and NSW.Met a Qlder yesterday on his second time around Qld this year since covid started !Hate to say it but many people seem to sit under their awnings all day like zombies. ! Head off to Bargara this morning.Blew a gale and heavy rain last night here at Emu pk

Well 3 days at Bargara CPk .rain ,blowing ,near full park.Should now be called Bargara Kennels !Dogs large small everywhere even in the cabins,many have two dogs on c sites .I have had enough of dogs pooing peeing 10 foot from our awning while we are having breakfast.doing the same in the bbq area ,on water and power outlet boxes ,everywhere ,and to cap it off I am in the loo and a dogs tail appears under the gap ,owner has the dog in the cubicle with him ! Complained to manager he said realises they have dog problem ,has regs etc but if comes down too hard ,would be crucified on social media .I do not dislike dogs ,have owned dogs ,however it looks like this is becoming a big problem for cpks.

There go my stress levels I’m about to Bargara CP home for a few months!! When I was riding yesterday past the picnic area near the boat ramp at Burrum Heads there was a girl with her dog standing on the table, I won’t repeat what a yelled at her but she got the dog off quick smart. I love dogs and I had one most of my life BUT!

Yes, there are working dogs and then there are the toy poodles.
I have always loved working dogs, not much time at all for toy poodles. The ones in between those two categories do get my attention based on their individual behaviour.
My mate had a kelpie. Absolutely fantastic dog. He loved catching a frizbie and could jump to catch them 2m above the ground. You would tire at throwing them to him long before he got tired of catching it. So he learnt to throw the frizbie up in the air himself and then jump up to catch it.

Cannot stand cats and they quickly get the message. I just look at a cat, it looks at me and says fair enough and we each go our separate ways.
