Are you auditioning for a Tim Burton movie. I can see sunshine on the street, you could take some photos out there ;). It looks ok'ish but Im struggling a bit to see it

I used to enjoy prepping my new cars for travelling, but now I hate it. Any special mods on the wish list, canopy, suspension, bullbar, etc. I bought a new XRS GME radio and thats the only thing Im excited about. We did the 40k km lap with a radio that would only transit 100yards ... fixed it months after we got home, havent used it since. So ... lets start a debate Redarc or Tekonsha break controller

It has the Holden (redarc) electric brakes fitted.
I have a new uniden to fit . TJM bullbar and winch Wednesday week.
Then possibly suspension.
It has my new 75ltr Waico on a slide in the back .
No canopy yet if I do it’s a ARB one
Is this vehicle your 'keeper', the retirement chariot?

Ive had 3 Tekonsha P3s and been pretty happy, but im considering a Redarc this time around. Cheapy winch? I had a Runva on the Nav, cheap, reasonable and no issues. Dual batteries for the fridge? One of the few Troopy pluses is the 2nd battery will go under the bonnet

Very nice, pics of engine without hat please, in fact take the engine cover off your engine will appreciate it ......................... Do they still do genuine bars ??? They actually allow better air flow no matter what the after market mob say, I have found just your cheapy UHF is as good as the others, UHF range isn't much a good quality aerial, well positioned makes a bigger difference, hardly use mine ........................ I think the brake controller that is set at start of trip then forgotten about because it works is the best, if you have to fiddle with it all the time its junk.....so long as it has a panic button its good.

Damn I'm a miserable bugger, all these folk buying new trucks, terrible stuff mines only just run in at 170K ages till I can justify a new one.................

Very envious of your new purchase , find a good mechanic to look after it.

Hey Mario
congrats on the new ute, I guess we'll be seing it soon?? Personally I wouldn't have anything but a Redarc controller now a days they are superior to anything else, you just reminded me I must fit a UHF one day (probably won't too lazy) enjoy

Haven’t tried it yet . If the redarc is as good as the tekonsha we’ve had I’ll be happy .
The winch is TJM .im working on a dual battery.
The uhf is speaker in the hand piece I think uniden 8060
And I have told heather it’s the keeper but who knows.

Drover yes Holden does their own bars but I like the look of the TJM . One nice bar and winch they do is $5600 too hot for me
Will get pics ASAP of the motor and my 2011 Colorado has 138K on the clock.
I never had to play with the old brake controller so I’m hoping the redarc is even better.
First auto for me so I’m looking forward on how it goes. 1600 revs approx at 110k empty so will see what the auto does with the van on the back.

Curse all you new vehicle people, now my neighbour rolls up with a new Isuzu dual cab tray back, trades a mint Patrol in on it, I thought he was getting a work ute like my old Hi Lux but he has a new one, has all the good Colorado points though so to @mfexpanda , @Crusty181 , @Bluey, @4wdphil and I'm sure there is one other, to quote one of my favourite " Goons " characters, " You Rotten Swines " , I might have to go and buy a new boat.............
