We are on our first trip with a new van - 16 49-3 and still figuring stuff out.

Can someone tell me what the switch just inside the door on the top left hand cabinet is for?

I was told its for the battery but the battery switch is clearly under the dinette seat.

It seems that when its on the main van lights come on but when it's off they don't work?

What is weird is that the internal lights used to work with it in the off position on 240v but they don't any longer...

Not sure if I have buggered something up!

Totally agree.

Main over ride switch for all internal lights. Useful for turning all off or on at same time.

Could also used to isolate the main lights in a pop top when you drop the top to travel. You may still have 12v power running for the fridge etc and this is a safety precaution to cut power to the roof in case wiring etc gets damaged and causes a short
