What hayman Reese WDS do I need

This question has probably been addressed elsewhere but I have a 16-49-3 expanda and I am not sure what WDS I need.My father in law runs a Mini WDS unit on his and he said that's all you need but the Jayco dealer said I need a 365kg Heavy Duty WDS.:yell:
As You Guys would possibly know better ,What are your thoughts?

Firstly, what is the tow vehicle?
Not all vehicles can take one, and some don't need one anyway.


A mini is too light for an expanda as it is for an 80kg ball weight. A 16' van has a towball weight of 140-160kg.
a HR intermediate is 80-135kg, and the 600lb units 135-275kg. If you use a WHS, use a 600lb one.
The 365kg one is the next size up again, and overkill.

there's plenty of threads on here about WDS/WDH requirements and experiences on different vehicles etc. Do a search, then spend the next 12hrs reading







and then buy the 600lb one I have for sale in the 'For Sale' section
