We are new to forum, wow is a great place to gather info and helpful tips!
Our parents have always owned a caravan so they are helpful too....

We are still tenting it and were at one stage looking at the campers as only looking for a small van.
Once we saw the Expanda 14.44-4 we fell in love!

We havnt ordered it yet but are looking at the following options:

Outback model
Roof mounted air con? (any advice on these - do they leak? do they heat/cool well enough for the snow?)
Fridge upgrade (does anyone know if the microwave can be placed where the cabinet air con would normally be?)
Easy roll out awning & walls
Privacy screens
innerspring mattress?
maybe extra powerpoints?
maybe bike rack?

Also would like to know if you can fit clothes, shoes, towels, kitchen appliances, food etc for a family of 4...

chat soon

Hi shippos

I know when we order our 14.44-4 we were told that the microwave won't fit in the air-con cabinet but if you want you can get your own and put it there. When we looked around we only found a really small microwave to fit, so we are going to put the microwave under the stove and get a door put on the air-con cabinet to make another cupboard.

We have got extra power points put at the bunks for the kids devices and the roof air-con if it fits in the shed (They are going to bring a van out before order confirmation to check)

The innerspring mattress is standard in 2012 models

Hi shippos
Good to see another potential 14 on the way. We have two boys 12 and 15 and have no problems fitting everything in. we also moved to the 14 directly from tenting and it is now like staying at the hilton every time we go away. As for extras if you intend to do much off grid camping i would think a solar pre wire might be a good idea.

Hi Duncan,
ok so we might have to look at putting the microwave under the stove and yes good idea to make use of the old space as a cupboard....and yes need to confirm how much height the roof mounted air con will add to the van...very happy to see that the 2012 include the mattress as standard I think a lot more should be included as standard! LOL thanks for your advice!
