Hi guys

Has anyone installed a removable wall mounted clothes airer on the outside of their 17.56? If so, what brand have you installed? Where and how did you install it? Any advice or observations welcome.

Yep, I have.
Fitted one of these and got a second set of brackets so it can be set up either under the awning or on the other side of the van in the sun. The brackets were screwed and siliconed on and haven't moved in over 5 years. They don't look the prettiest but it works very well. We usually use it to hang the towels on.

@Simon I bought it from Award RV in Ferntree Gully (I think, was almost 6 years ago now)
I used whatever I had in my toolbox that I took on our trip as I fitted them once we had left. Pretty sure they're just a self tapping button head screw. I used silicon to hold them on and the screws were just to stop them moving, but 6 years later they haven't moved, so the screws stayed.

8mm Stainless screws
soon to be changed to 6mm Rivnuts

the boss had 15 beach towels on it, and it started to pull out 1 screw, hence the new mod soon

This would be my choice Rivnuts are a great invention
Question though is it just a case of drill away (considering depth though)
I want to mount a few things on the van (also using rivnuts) and am cautious about where I can and cant drill (obviously i wont be drilling near power points) but do they run the power cable vertically or all over the place.

I'm lucky, as I had the split system air con removed, I still have the cable tray / ducting / whatever its called, on the wall between the 2 seats that all the wiring from the front of the Van to the Setec sits
soooo
under the window, there is nowt to worry about
