Getting the new Expander in early October and planning on going away with friends over Melbourne cup weekend. Thought we would head north to get as much warmth as we can. Looking to see if anyone has any suggestions for a caravan park that also allows dogs? We prefer going free camping but with the kids and friends with no toilet would like to have a caravan park that has a trees and nice river or water.

Not too much to ask is it :)

Hi Solterb
Check out the link below and maybe consider Mildura It's North ,warm, cheap, trees and river and heaps to do for the kids and they allow dogs. :gossip:

Looks exactly like the place was looking for - would prefer a bit closer to Melbourne for a long weekend but have marked it as somewhere to go in the future - thanks

Have spent a bit more time using the caravan photos and its great for planning but its a bit light on content on the caravan parks. Its great for working out which ones I want to go to - then I check them by their web pages and books that I have and put them in to my trip planner.

This is where Bushman and I stayed last year, its 20k out of Echuca a quiet family run park that is dog friendly, but maybe call ahead 1st to be sure since its a long weekend.

after Cruza and I parted company at Riverbend we relocated to Yarrby CP right on the banks of the Murray closer to town, it's a great park, is Top Tourist park but unsure if they allow your 4 legged friend
