Brisbane Sth.
Hi all,
We stayed at the Tweed Billabong (Big 4) park for a week just before school hols. finished.
Nice park with plenty to do for young and old and friendly staff. Facilities and park kept very clean. (Only one amenities block, but there is an ensuite site for general use if closed for cleaning.)
Pool area is excellent and also has the saltwater Billabong for swimming, paddleboards, ect., jumping pillow and playground.
Short walk to river for fishing and short 5 min. drive to Tweed for those wet days (movies, ten pin bowling).
Sites are good size with a mix of grass and concrete slab type. (Sites around Billabong are small, tents only)
Only down sides were airport noise (under flight path for GC airport) but didn't really bother us as curfew on airport meant you weren't kept awake or woken by planes and flights seemed to be grouped tightly so it wasn't constant noise, my 7yr old actually thought this was awesome as he loved watching them come and go. The other noise was highway noise as the sound barriers are down while roadworks are done through this section, looking at new work they should be back up in the near future.
Overall nice park that I would stay at again
