Would anyone have photos of one installed in the above, finding a spot to install is proving difficult due to placement of the external flue. The van has very little direct access to external walls.

I’m worried about installing under the main bed as sheets and doona always hang off the end of the bed and would cover the outlets.

Any ideas welcome

Doing one on a 19:61-2 atm . Each bit of pain finding a spot. We had it come out under the bed in the last van and was always conscious quilts etc and never really had an issue they have a lot of safe guards .

If it gets overly had can do under a window and add a microswitch

If your really struggling, I seen a caravan at the Melb show with all the ducting running about under the van. The ducting wasnt protected but it wouldn't be hard to enclose it in PVC or similar

Not sure, but in our 20.64.1 OB Expanda we fitted one under the fridge. 1 vent coms out under the slide out and the other passes though to the cupboard under the sink in the ensuite and points to the back bed section.

Not sure if you can do something similar or not.

PS. When you fit it, you will need to remove the gases fuses if you have them.

If you look at where mine was fitted (link above) the exhaust run to just behind the mudflap. Not sure why - just how they did it. I assume it's so you don't get a build up of exhaust gas under the van - potentially an issue if you ever run an annexe I guess.

Is it OK to vent the exhaust out through the floor so it just points toward the ground etc.. ?
You want to actively encourage it away from your awning side which generally means running the exhaust as far toward the kerb side as possible. and basically pointing it at the neighbours. Any fumes are better under their awning area than yours. Its always nice to be nice .... but there are exceptions

OK - thanks for the advice - I might just vent straight down through the floor and then right angle & take it over to the side of the van. I'm thinking of putting it in some 90/100mm PVC to protect it underneath? Would this work or is the exterior of the exhaust too hot for the PVC. I think the exhaust pipe is double layer to decrease the exterior/external heat.

Never touched it sorry - not sure how hot it gets.

I'll be using the van again in July and we'll almost certainly have the heater on then = but I suspect you could easily test it yourself before then.

The heater has been installled under the dinette seat, batteries had to be relocated. So I thought why not go lithium while I’m at it. Then why not put some more solar on the roof, and why not add an inverter!

Good news the heater performs very well, in 0 degrees outside it was toasty inside. New power upgrade is also a winner.
