Last couple of trips, I noticed a bit of movement in the tow ball. Though it was not tight enough so put some more pressure on it. We have a Hayman Reese 600 lb hitch that we got a year ago and was setup for us on delivery. Anyway I sent an email to Hayman Reese yesterday and got a phone call within the hour.
There is a reducing bush for the tow ball and they received some that stood a bit proud so that when you tightened the tow ball nut, you could be just tightening up on the bush. Today I pulled mine apart and yes a very small part of the bush sticks through. I was told to just grind the bush back until it was below the lip and it should be fine. They apologized for the problem and are sending me a new tow ball as well.
I also rang a tow bar place near me that is an agent for Hayman Reese and he has seen it a few times as well.
Just though I would pass this on as it could have been worse. Might not have this in the right thread also.
