Hi there, we’re very happy owners of a 17-56-2 OB. On long road trips we’re wanting access to the toilet / shower cubicle without having to pop the roof (lunch stops etc). I’m pretty sure there’s got to be a way to move the lift mechanism out the way from the toilet door and was wondering if there’s anyone here that’s got a great hack for doing it?

Thanks in advance!

Many , many, moons ago someone showed a mod for that, hopefully someone with a good memory can point it out but it was a fee years back.

Don't know about the 17's but when we had our 16 accessing the dunny with the roof down wasn't an issue, the lift mechanism wasn't in the way, though I did have to crouch and a little.

Thanks for the feedback. Yup, on the 17 it fully prevents the door from opening. All sorted, just removed the existing bolts and put some in with wingnuts on for quick removal. Girls are now happy for pit stops

I think the earlier mod they did with drop nose pins and removed once lid shut.......or something like that.
