Tocumwal to Bermagui

Hi All
We are planning a trip over the break from Tocumwal to Bermagui and are just after opinions on the best route to get there towing a van. There will be two vans in tow a 16:49 behind a territory and a 17:56 behind a Ranger. We are trying to avoid narrow or overly steep roads as much as possible. Any info would be much appreciated.

Well to dodge the bluddy big hills I would go the Canberra/Cooma/Bega route then the only windy bit is going down the Mountain to Bega on the Snowy hwy, it does have a lot of bends but not that bad nowadays or you could run from Canberra thru Braidwood to Batemans Bay with a short windy bit on the Kings Hwy before Batemans Bay, traffic in holidays is horrible though in all the coastal towns...
At the moment the Kings Hwy is closed and the Princess Hwy before Nowra is closed due to fires....
