Hello,

We have a Jayco Starcraft 17.58-3 outback and Thetford N504 fridge.

I tool a look at the drip tray and it looks like I may be missing a part between the drip tray and hose.

I don't know how the water is meant to make its way from the drip tray to hose. Looks like I'm missing a piece. The drain hose is to large to fit in the hole.

Also on the outside of the caravan at the other end of the drain hose, I found it was plugged up with a little black piece attached, which does not look like a one way valve but more of a plug. Guessing that should not be there.

Anyone able to comment on these 2 things?

If the hose doesn't fit in the hole even with a bit squishing then just sleeve it with a bit of plastic tube......the external drain hose really should extend thru the floor to outside otherwise you will just have a puddle on the floor which will work its way out from under fridge....the plug is supposed to stop crap and bugs, just take it off and put it in a drawer, leaving it in will mean you will block the hose, the water will evaporate and the residue will block the hose even more, leave plug out, never had a hose blocked yet and the chance of dust getting into fridge is minute and it won't affect cooling either. Some fit a pigs tail in the line which is good for constant use but for just holiday you get the evaporation effect.

Thanks for the reply.

I should have inspected the black plug closer before asking as I checked again it does have a hole at the end. Was just blocked with dust etc. Will see how it goes.

My fridge also has a catchment tub accessible from outside the caravan, bottom cover.

Just need to connect the drip tray to hose with a sleeve like you suggested.

Thank you

Of course forgot about the catch tray, like a house fridge runs to tray and evaporates, don't forget to clean out every so often dead moths, odd mouse etc.................mine drains straight outside and sometimes scares me thinking I have a water line leak............
