After the usual long wait for a new Jayco we finally picked out our new toy today. First trip is tomorrow, off to Seaspray for Melbourne Cup weekend.

We didn't get too many options but some that we did were:
* Removed the bed box (to cope with my long legs)
* 12v power to all beds
* Big Fridge and Roof air
* Gas bayonet
thats about it I think.

Some of the new changes have been implemented I am happy to see, the main bed lights are at the door end, the awning arm no longer covers the toilet hatch and of course the sink swap.

Planning a few mods but will post up about those as we go.
Some photo's of course:

The obligatory Jayco shot

Looks great, good that those bed lights are now down the right end and the awning issue too, such simple things. What mods are you planning?

@halbster think I will be staring with Roof Solar, Tool box for the draw bar, Some sort of storage options for key, wallet, etc... All when funds permit.

Nice looking rig there guys!! Get out and enjoy it.

It is funny how the wait is so long to get a new van. In the vids that @cruza driver put up they said Jayco build a new van in three days. The backlog must be enormous!

Congrats great choice in van!

Interesting that they use the long style bed lights, on ours they used the shorter style.

Happy vanning

@achjimmy it seems to a bit whatever they have lying around at the time, a mate picked his 17.58.1 up a couple of weeks ago and he has different lights in the tunnel boot, we have one of the round style lights above the sink they he does not have.

Thanks @Crusty181 i was happy with how she towed it. A bit deferent to the old Swan. Did feel a bit bumpy on the highway though, might be an excuse for a suspension upgrade.

I borrowed a 2.4ton van to test tow before we decided on a van, and I found the D40 towed it like a dream, even with no WDH. I was astounded how well it towed. I just swapped over to the V6 too.
