I would like to get people's great ideas for storing rubbish while free camping. A lot of spots need you to carry out everything you bring in. But the question is, where is the best place to keep it. Ideally it would be:
  • Safe from animals
  • Somewhere it won't stink
  • Somewhere it doesn't matter if it drips
Stashing it in the boot would be the obvious choice, but I wouldn't want to be keeping any prawn heads in there! What does everyone else do with their rubbish?

If you have a fire burn anything that is organic like the prawn heads and food scraps. If you have a 4WD with a rear door mounted spare wheel then consider a rear wheel gear bag that hangs off it and maybe put your rubbish in rubbish or kitchen tidy bags that can you tie a knot in to try to make airtight.
