Stone Stomper and Jeep

Have any of you Jeep owners fitted a Stone Stomper? When we purchased the van the previous owner gave me his Stone Stomper off his Prado. I washed the Jeep today for the first time since returning home (yes very slack I know but the Expanda go washed the day we returned) and noticed the bumper was burned above the right hand exhaust. Now as I know everything and if not my brother does, I watched the video on the SS web site and I recon I have it fitted correctly, the only thing I can think of is these are designed for Japanese low tech tractor engines like Toyota and the like which run cool, not for hi-tech engines like the Jeep. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate them.

I just used ours for the first time and with the fitting instructions they recommend you get the tip of the exhaust modified to face down so as not to melt/ burn the flap, I am yet to do this but we had no problems, ours is a 150 prado.
