I've just read a thread from 2017 with a member stating that he regularly drives at 140km/hr. Here in WA the max tow speed is 100km/hr, do we have a different limit in the eastern states than here. Not bagging the member but interested for future trips.

I mentioned something along those lines just recently, posted speed limit in a couple of states and 100kph max in some others BUT can depend on your actual GCM at the time, thats the weight of tug and van, over 4.5t look out....where I was rabbitting on about toll fees I think..... Anyone who really tows consistently over 100, well.

Here you go I found the paragraph I threw in another thread..... and an apt time to remind folk.

It should also be noted that in WA you are held to a 100kph limit whilst towing and in NSW if your GCM is over 4.5t then 100kph is your max no matter what the sign says, if your GCM is under 4.5t then you can do the posted limit.......all the rest can cruise along happily at the posted speed limit, possibly terrifying other road users at 110...lol,lol.

So take note as you run up the expressways in NSW boys and girls, especially as its Double Demerit time........
