Hi Brains Trust,
Today walking past my hard wall camper I heard a rapid continual beeping noise. Upon going into the van I found the noise was coming from the Coast to Coast solar regulator. As I have a cover on the van the battery is not charging via the solar panel. The regulator was displaying 10.1V. I plugged the van into mains power to charge the battery and now some 3 hours later it is still beeping. Is my battery that is 3 years old this month cactus perhaps.

The battery could have an issue, but I'd leave it on charge for 24hrs before throwing in the towel.

You can remove the in line fuse from the wire from the solar controller to stop the beeping.

Can take awhile to get back to a happy state, depends on the charger and battery type also, if you have it all under a cover then disconnecting the battery from everything is always best if you can't leave it on the charger, a decent charger will keep it in good order and no need to disconnect at all.

When that happened to me, I had to disconnect the battery from the Cetek and connect a smart charger to the battery. The Cetek seemed to be unable to do anything until the state of charge came up a bit higher.
The Setec chargers go into a trickle mode when the voltage drops below 10v and will only charge at 800mA until they get up to a higher voltage, then the full charge will kick in.

You can either leave it on and wait or as @chartrock has suggested you can charge it with an external charger to bring it back faster.

Thanks all.
I got home from work today and it was still beeping after being on 240V and Cetec charging. No change in the battery voltage according to the solar regulator display. Disconnected the battery from the Cetec and connected my normal battery charger. Will give it 24 hours on charge then reconnect.

So I only gave it 12 hours of charging and at 5.30 this morning reconnected the battery to the Cetek with no beeping and 13.4V on the display. Cover is off the van so solar charging happening as well. This afternoon everything appears to be back to normal.
Thanks again to you all for your assistance.
