Which reminded me of the story, got down the road then realized I forgot to fit the towing mirrors, round the block we go, then we did another trip around the block as I forgot to fit the rear camera display on dash and because someone had cleaned the windscreen it was sitting on windowsill in garage not in pocket behind seat where it usually is .................................................. We stopped at a chemist on Wondai to get the rest of the left behinds ....................... and bought a new can opener at Bingara IGA ............................... proved the point that my packing list which I have always done for 50 yrs is a must, especially now as ....... what was I talking about........???

A few years ago when heading to camp on Fraser, had left Brisbane all packed up, but had that funny feeling I had forgotten something. Got as far as Ettamogah at Woombye and thought...oh oh, tent poles...pulled over and looked all over, no tent poles. 100kms back to Brisbane to pick up the tent poles, and 100kms back to where we were, was in the old Hemi so had to refuel just to make it to Rainbow...lol

Easter this year we were going for 4 nights at a place 2hr from home. Got litterally 1km down the road and realised I forgot my phone. Back we go to get it. We were going to a place with no reception anyway but…..

We are currently doing a shake down trip before a big trip in about 8 weeks , testing everything that we will use when away, last night out external freezer went crazy and the temp climbed dramatically causing a stir,as it is fully loaded , checked everything nothing made sense, turns out our new neighbour uses the same fridge monitor and had just replaced the batteries in his sender so it sent his readings to our receiver about 15 metres away I may return the favour later and make him think his beer fridge has dropped to minus 14

Having the van here at home is so so good...went away for a couple of nights over the weekend. Was getting the van ready on Thursday, the bride was doing some cleaning and complained there was no water coming out of the sink tap. That's nuts I thought, I have just emptied and refilled both water tanks.
Checked it all out, power on, water valves facing the right way, turn on taps...no water pump noise?
Lifted the bed where the pump hides...pump was hot to the touch...that's definitely not right.
A quick phone call to a caravan repairer 5 minutes away, yep pumps in stock. Whizzed down to their shop, bought a new pump, 15 minutes had the old one out, same new one in...yay...water pump noise and water coming out of taps.
Only down side was the $212.00 for the new pump which I had no choice with being time wasn't on my side.
Had I still had the van in storage would not have known about the bad pump until I got to the site, then the weekend would not have been fun at all since we had to use both the shower and toilet!
