What a great place Hawks Nest is!!
We were at the very back and surrounded by permanent vans, some were quite old and did not give off a great vibe but everything was ok and the location was excellent.
We could walk through to Bennets Beach( a surf Beach) and Jimmy's beach(flat) was only a short drive away. For us the location was fantastic.
It did appear they are doing up the park and there were plenty of grass sites (yes we booked late) although some were very sandy, the joys of being so close to sand dunes I guess.
The facilities were a little tired but clean, and the shower head was under my shoulders which did not help when washing my hair. The water pressure was also not great in the shower but we survived.
Will definitely stay here again as we loved Hawks Nest and the location of the park suited us best.
