17' Series Pull-put awning

We have had our 17.56 expanda for over 4 years and had very little problems.
However on a recent trip to the Hunter Valley we had difficulty with the retraction of the awning.
It would wind back for most of the way but then stop and consequently the end result was a loose roll-up not tight as it should be.
Can anyone advise

• If they know what the problem may be
• How can it be fixed
• If it should be serviced and which business in SE Qld could do it

Unsure of what may be the problem @john hayward but if you are any where near the Gold Coast, I recommend East Coast RV's at Ashmore. They have looked after our vans for 4 years now and we have had excellent service from them. A number of other members have been to them for service etc and all appear to be happy with the outcomes.

If you go to them, tell them (Michael or Dennis) that you heard about them on this forum.

Mine does something similar occasionally and we have found one of the top rails have been jamming slightly.

My Oct 2014 van is booked in for some warranty love in a fortnight, and the distinct lack of tension of the awning roller when rolling it in is on the list. Im presuming they can tweak up the internal spring like a window blind
