Hi All

Wondering if anyone has had any experience with the ProSeries 275kg weight distribution hitch?

You can pick one up for under $400 so about 1/2 price of a Hayman Reese WDH.

Or is there another WDH i should look out for?

Cheers

Pro series are made by Hayman Reece they are the more affordable model most people by these over the Hayman Reese for the price and there's nothing wrong with them.

Interesting, do you know what the differences are given both made by Hayman Reese and about 1/2 the price?

I've been looking around and the Andersen WDH looks very good and easy to use.

Is a standard WDH noisy? in the Andersen WDH promos they seem to say standard WDH make a fair bit of noise?

Any experiences with WDH noise?

I have a standard WDH and most of the time you do not hear it, going around corners sometimes. I imagine on extremely rough roads they might make some noise.

i would not say they are noisy though.

We have the Anderson Hitch. When connected the van seems 'solid' as the ant-sway aspect seems to work well. We had no noise for the first 2,000ks then an almighty squeeling when cornering or going around roundabouts. We bought from Jayco and they said one of two things, replace the bush or obtain the 'specialised' lubricant, it forms a wax film. We did the lubricant (FOC) and it seems to have done the trick. It needs to be the right lubricant as if not the anti-sway properties will be compromised. The lubricant was developed by Boeing and I have not tried to source myself - that will come when this one runs out. Overall I like the Anderson Hitch, its not as easy to connect and disconnect as advertised but definitely no harder than standard hitches and not having to remove when reversing is a big plus, I would recommend even with the prior squealing that now seems to be gone.

Mine started to make noises too. I rang Titan Trailer Brakes in Queensland and they sent me some lubricant and a new cone insert (as mine was the older model) for free. They were awesome to deal with. The lubricant did the trick and all good now. They are very easy to talk to and are extremely helpful.
Just my 2 cents worth

Did you have to change the cone insert before using the lubricant?
If so, how easy to change?
Hoping I don't have to down the line but you never know.

Hi.
I did not have to change the cone as the lubricant did the trick.
To change the cone is a very easy process. Just tap the ball out from the bottom, replace the cone and reinsert the ball..
I have the older version so they gave the new cone just in case. You shouldn't have to replace it.
