Electrical Power tripping

We were camping at Tanunda SA on the weekend at the caravan park. For some unexpected reason the power regularly tripped at the power box. The only power we were using was the wall heater, fridge, lights and occasionally the kettle. Given this is the normal power consumption for us in winter we have never experienced the power tripping before. Has anyone experienced this and if so can you advise what the possible issue/s might be.

Regards

Check to see that the power point you are plugging into is not protected by a 10 amp circuit breaker. We have come across a park were this was the case. Change to another power point which was 15 Amp. No was not using a dodge lead, the power outlet had a 15 amp socket, but the CB was 10 amp.

Had a similar problem. It turned out to be a faulty heating element in the b2200 dometic roof mount air con. Apparently even with air con off there is still a small current through the air con. When the heating element dies the resistance goes sky high and keeps tripping the circuit.

Hope this helps
